The architect and the housewife* (all 2025) - landscape
A series of photomontages made on A4 paper. The works juxtapose images of babies with skyscrapers and cityscapes in an attempt to reflect on the opposing realms of the domestic and the urban. The corporate world of big business, profit and polished professionals is highly valued, while the truly essential work of birthing babies, caring for- and raising them - is de-valued and disparaged. The title is an homage to the book of the same name by artist Frances Stark.
