Performance with Tom Trevatt and Martin Fletcher, featuring the painting We Are Fucking Angry with ‘Tangley’ frame, 2011 by David Mabb (64” x 55”, paint on fabric)
This performance took place at the private view of the exhibition Who Thinks the Future? on 25th Sept 2014. It started in Charlotte Warne Thomas’ flat, where David Mabb’s painting We Are Fucking Angry was hanging on the wall above her sofa. As the private view began, a video skype call between the flat and the gallery recorded the artist lifting the painting down from the wall and, wearing art-handling plastic gloves, she wrapped it in protective plastic. She was then filmed carrying the painting through the streets from her home to the gallery, where she and curator Tom Trevatt unwrapped and installed the work on the wall of the exhibition.
