Take care of yourself, 2025
Digital print on fabric, shower curtain rail, curtain rings; Dimensions variable [curtain size 146 x 190cm]
‘Take care of yourself’ refers to what mothers are often told when they’re exhausted and overwhelmed - that they should make some time to take care of themselves. This exasperating advice ignores the fact that they are likely so busy taking care of everyone else (and everything else) that even finding enough time to take a shower is difficult. The body is literally overwhelmed by the ‘to-do list’.
