Comforter is double-sided quilt, with 1:1 scale prints of a woman's torso with her arms wrapped around herself, and the lettering ‘WRAPAROUND CARE' on each side. The quilt is pegged onto a clothes hanger, which rotates gently on the chain it’s suspended from. The title refers to the reassuring comfort of being wrapped in a mother's embrace, being tucked up in bed, or snuggling under a warm quilt. It articulates the eternal desire to seek solace and security from our mothers and assumes that the carer, the mother, will always be available for caring duties - to care for - and about - children into adulthood and beyond.
